CLAAS NOTES is an open-access, online publication that is free to read, share, and cite. We believe that knowledge should not be hidden behind a paywall.
We accept the following three types of contributions (in English and Spanish):
Abstracts/New Releases
- Short abstracts promoting the author’s work, including upcoming publications or presentations.
- Short summaries about current or future projects.
Fieldnotes
- Personal accounts of experiences from field schools or excavations. Share your stories and insights from the field!
- Word Limit: 500–1,000
Articles
- Scholarly research typical of academic journals. Students are encouraged to revise term papers for submission.
- Word Limit: 500–1,000
